The ELITe Partnership

The ELITe strategic partnership brings together seven agents with complementary competences and expertise.

The team from FORTH has a vast experience in EU funded projects, as coordinators and as partners, which will be valuable to the overall project management.  The group has expertise in various areas of educational and social innovation, with particular focus on the dimension of STEM education and ICT as a tool for enhancing learning and teaching.  The group supports the project implementation and dissemination activities with its established contacts with schools, schools administration and policy at local (for example Association of physics teachers in Crete), national (for example IEP) and EU level (for example ATEE, ESHA and ETUCE).

Teams from OUNL, UNISOFIA and UB have strong pedagogical background in IBL in STEM education and technology enhanced learning.  They are – along with FORTH – the core teams that develop and deploy teacher training activities in the ELITe project. All teams have established contacts with national STEM teachers’ networks and associations in the course of the current teacher training activities they implement.

OUNL is not only active in the field of theoretical scientific research, but also closely collaborates with teachers in developing and implementing scientifically sound learning environments, forms of education and didactics. The team is recruited with experts in the deployment of professional learning activities for students in educational sciences and experts in methods for co-designing education between educators, and software developers.

UNISOFIA team is very proactive with initiatives and projects linked to the STEM education and training. On the base of their vast experience from national and EU funded projects they formulated the prerequisites for the successful implementation of IBL in schools at national level– especially by providing constant training for teachers and rich set of resources based on ICT infrastructure.

The UB team during the last years have been involved in the study and implementation of inquiry-based learning approaches in schools through both EU and national projects, as e.g. ENGAGE, previously mentioned. Relevant skills to the project are their expertise in study the pedagogical impact of ICT based innovation for both teachers and students.

ILI-FAU have expertise in the field of innovative learning technologies for supporting learning processes in different settings for different target groups and on media and network-based learning and qualification systems. Their long term experience in EU projects as coordinators and as partners and their reflective approach in ICT enhanced learning makes them ideal for leading the project activities on evaluating the implementation of the intervention.

DLEARN was born from the initiative of 20 different organizations from all over Europe, active in the field of education and digital learning at various levels. Among others DLEARN members are: Associations; Educational Centres (adult education); Training Centres; ICT education services providers; ICT experts; NGOs; SME’s; Universities; Vocational Schools; Adult training centre. DLEARN can count on the experiences, know-how and strong relations of the members involved that are actively committed to strength the voice of the network. DLEARN leads the dissemination tasks in the project by setting up the whole strategy, necessary to reach the widest public as possible and the right type of stakeholders to achieve project results.

EPA has been involved in a considerable number of new projects in the framework of the current Erasmus+ programmes promoting the Digital Agenda and parenting in the digital age, active citizenship, participation and European literacy among parents as well as training parents for involvement in school. Their role in the ELITe project is to promote the involvement of parents in all stages of the project and providing content and methodology to support teachers in involving parents in their day-to-day activities. With regards to dissemination they contribute to the intellectual outputs so that we widen dissemination to as many of the countries EPA covers as possible, making them attractive for parents’ associations to invite teachers to implement them.
